The journey to find beauty within

Have you ever been in such a quiet place that you found yourself surrounded only by your thoughts?

That open space that led you to a moment of induced silence of your mind. Or maybe that cozy mysterious room inside a small museum that you always avoided exploring.

Such beautiful environments deserve quite a mental and spiritual presence whenever someone passes their space. And yet, the mere existence of such places often makes us think they are incredibly hard to find, not because of the objects and things we can find there, but because of the immediate effects that their stillness and calm have on us.

To be surrounded by anything but things that can barely stimulate your mind is something we often find ourselves wishing for when things start moving a bit too fast for us to understand.

But such environments are great at teaching us about something we overlook on a daily basis, and that is the beauty we carry within ourselves on a daily basis, but to which we can only offer small amounts of attention due to our lack of self-reflection.

Our routines begin and, most probably, end each day in front of a mirror. But every time there is something else to care about. The small pimples we have observed right below our chin, the little hairs growing a bit too fast that make our heads look a bit too round, and that belly that despite our biggest efforts continues to look the same.

Most of us don’t stop and wonder if all of the “flaws” we consider to be unattractive are even noticeable. But we keep on emphasizing to ourselves that they matter.

Until we reach that place of stillness and solitude.

The beauty of discovering and experiencing such a moment lies in the understanding that we can finally release the pressures of the world around us. No more standards to reach. No more achievements to unlock.

There’s only our presence and silence that makes it perfect when we’re there.

And the most beautiful part of this story is that as much as we are capable of searching for such an environment to detach and connect with ourselves, we are also capable of building them around us, and inside of us, inside our minds and hearts.

There are many techniques to use from meditation to journaling, therapy, and much more.

There is beauty inside of us waiting to be discovered.

We just need to have a little patience and go searching for it in the right places and using the right tools.

May you walk the trail that fully helps you uncover your purpose, and enjoy the process of soul searching.
