Feeling broken may not the best experience, but it can be the best thing that can happen to you

As humans, we fail most of the time, in love, in our careers, in developing a new passion. What we never fail at is being ourselves all our lives.

I first came across this quote back in 2017 in a regular day when I was feeling low due to some emotional instability. First I saw the gif with Meryl Streep saying “Take your broken heart and make it into art”, but I didn’t know where was the original video of her. And so, I’ve started to watch other inspirational accounts and channels on YouTube to try to make myself feel better about not being good enough for someone that I liked at that time.

It didn’t help much because I wasn’t even into photography when that happened. It took me more than 2 years to realize how important it is for artists to feel low and broken.

For the past 3 years since I bought my first DSLR camera, the most frequent problem that I have encountered was the competition in the photography business. I had very few knowledge in cameras, shooting techniques and photography theory that I was starting to feel like I’m never gonna make it.

And it wasn’t necessarily the knowledge but also the gear that I had and was pretty cheap. My first camera was and still…
